At Ease HQ supports service members transitioning out of the military and veterans already navigating civilian life- providing guidance, community, and the support they deserve.

At Ease HQ Foundtion was created to give veterans a place where they can speak openly, support one another, and navigate life after military service together.
Many veterans struggle during the transition from service-whether accessing benefits, finding direction, or simply connecting with others who understand their experiences.
At Ease HQ exists to bridge that gap through mentorship, education, and connection.
Helping veterans understand available resources, benefits, and opportunities so they can confidently move forward after military service.
Creating a supportive space where veterans, spouses, and families can connect, share experiences, and support one another.

My name is Henry Alvarado, and I built At Ease HQ because I’ve lived the same challenges many veterans face after leaving the military.
I served 17 years in the United States Army as an Infantryman and Paratrooper, including assignments with 1st Battalion, 501st Infantry Regiment (1-501) in the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division in Alaska, and later with 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division.
As a Non-Commissioned Officer, my main focus was always on the people beside me. I made it a priority to ensure the soldiers I led knew they were appreciated, supported, and respected. Leadership, to me, was never about rank—it was about leading by example and investing in the development of the soldiers around me.
Whether a soldier served in combat arms, a support role, or a staff position, I did my best to mentor them, help them grow professionally, and ensure they understood their value within the team. Those experiences reinforced a belief that still drives me today: every service member matters, and every veteran deserves support after their service ends.
Everything we do at At Ease HQ is built on three principles:
Integrity – Veterans deserve honest information and guidance.
Experience – I’ve walked this path myself and understand the challenges.
Service – This mission is about helping veterans, not profiting from them.
I dO nOT cHARGE vETERANS for the education and mentorship provided through At Ease HQ.
My focus is on removing barriers, simplifying the process, and helping fellow service members gain clarity during one of the most important transitions of their lives.
The leadership lessons I learned as a paratrooper, Jumpmaster, and NCO—putting soldiers first and leading by example—are the same values I bring to this mission today.
This isn’t just a project to me.
It’s continuing the mission: veterans helping veterans.
Helping veterans understand the VA disability claim process, required evidence, and how to prepare strong claims while maintaining control of their own submissions

Providing a non-clinical, purpose-driven pathway to healing through scuba diving, peer support, and structured skill development.
A community space where veterans can speak openly about their experiences, including PTSD and the challenges of transition, without fear of judgement.
Working toward long-term solutions that provide stable housing opportunities for veterans and their families
Veterans who connect with At Ease HQ often share how community, mentorship, and guidance helped them navigate after service
As a veteran, dealing with the VA disability process can be frustrating and confusing if you try to do it on your own. I’m grateful I was connected with Henry because he really helped guide me through everything. From the beginning he took the time to explain the process, answer my questions, and make sure I understood what steps needed to be taken.
If you’re a veteran trying to navigate the VA disability system and need someone knowledgeable and reliable in your corner, I definitely recommend working with Henry. Having the right person helping you makes a big difference.

Being a part of At Ease HQ showed me the range of support within the Veteran community needed. There are Active Duty members getting ready to discharge trying to plan their transition which comes with it's own set of needs, to Military Veterans whose wounds - mental and physical - begin to manifest in later age; who know little to nothing of the support they can receive. At Ease HQ aims to bridge that Gap for all Military Veterans and their families.
